In my Typography class this past semester one of our projects was to design a series of cards to display facts about typography, type designers, etc. All of the cards were to have a consistent treatment on one side while the opposite sides contained the information. I chose to base the overall design of my type cards on actual playing cards, and this was my resulting illustration for the reverse sides. Virtually all of the patterns on the clothing of the King and Queen are typographic characters and many of their facial features are also type elements (for instance, the King's mouth is the symbol for section, while the Queen's mouth is a Greek letter).
